- Hand spliced 10mm sailing rope, UV stabilised.
- Rope length adjusters.
- 2 x rope straps for hanging
To Hang: (see photos)Wrap the straps supplied around the beam/branch or eye bolt, feed the loop through just above the knot. Adjust knot so the loop is 10 -15cm long. Thread the swing rope through the loop until swing seat is at the desired height.
Connect to adjuster - Open hinged latch, feed a loop of rope through from behind, close latch and pull tight.
Safety:Excessive friction will damage the rope and cause it to break. Use the rope straps provided and hang as shown in the photos here. Make sure the surface it's hanging on is not rough or sharp. If neccessary wrap some rubber or heavy fabric around the beam or branch for protection. If using eye bolts check they don't have any sharp edges, preferably use stainless steel with a minimum diameter of 8mm.
Ensure that the swing has ample space to swing without obstruction and that nobody is in the path of the swing when in use.
Use under adult supervision. Max load 150kg.
Care:The timber has been coated with 2 coats of a 50/50 mixture of linseed oil and turps. The swing should be recoated regularly with similar, or any good wood oil to preserve it. Being an organic material variations in climate can cause cracks to appear, keeping it oiled will help protect against the elements.
Check hanging points regularly for wear and tear.
